Here are just a few of the ways your support of the RSF has gone to work in the past.
A young reserve Marine Lance Corporal, who lived with his mother and grandmother, suffered an electric fire. The Marine and his family were in immediate need of winter clothing, shoes, and supplies. RSF provided the Marine assistance in the form of a gift card to replace much needed clothing during the winter.
An active duty Marine suffered severe financial hardship after receiving orders from Hawaii to the mainland United States. The Marine was forced to take multiple trips and was stuck with lofty closing cost fees. RSF provided the Marine financial relief.
Team RSF, the competitive sport and recreational activity arm of the Recon & Sniper Foundation, has been growing exponentially over the last few years. Team RSF provides veterans from any branch of service a place to discover a new passion or rekindle an old hobby with shooting sports, adventure sports, fishing, endurance events, and many more. Team RSF helps ensure that veterans have a positive outlet to channel their energy and recreate the bond found in the military.
RSF worked with former Reconnaissance Marine Robert Blanton to replace a motorized scooter for a disabled World War II veteran after his scooter was lost in a fire. The World War II veteran was unable to get around without his scooter, so being able to help restore his mobility was crucial to restoring his quality of life.
Every year, the RSF, in partnership with Rawah Ranch, sponsors a veteran retreat for mental health. This retreat provides counseling, mentorship, peer assistance, and various outdoor activities to help veterans connect with their fellow veterans to successfully address issues related to the transition to civilian life.
